​Ruth Eckstein

Ruth Eckstein is a self-taught artist who was born in Israel. She creates her paintings in her studio in Evanston, Illinois and in Israel.

 

Ruth Eckstein is an intuitive painter, and the inspiration for her work comes from her feelings and emotions. In love with color, she is continuously experimenting with various techniques and methods.

 

Artists who have inspired Ruth include Karel Appel (April 25, 1921 - May 3, 2006) who was a Dutch painter, sculptor, and poet.  

 

Ruth Eckstein has exhibited her work in various group shows in the US and in Israel, including Glimmer Gussfield Gallery in Northbrook, and Maple Gallery in Evanston, Illinois. In 2011 she had a solo show at Woman Made Gallery, Chicago, Illinois.
